Personal Video Time Capsules


How long does my recording last for?
The online video discussion is one hour. The in-person discussion is one hour and twenty minutes.
What kind of video conferencing can I choose?
In your intake form you can choose which video platform you prefer.
Where does the discussion take place?
For your online Personal Video Time Capsule, the recording will take place online. You don’t need to leave your home. For the In-Person Video Time capsule, our team will come to your home. If you’re selecting the In Person Video Time capsule, all P.P.E measurements will be adhered too.
What questions should I expect in my Personal Video Time Capsule?
In our questionnaire form you can check off which life chapters are most important to you. For example, someone may want to talk about their career as others may not find that important.

You can request to see the questions before the recording session or hear them for the first time on your recording day. It varies and there is no right or wrong way of doing this. You will be asked questions such as:

Do you know the names of your great grandparents and when / where they were born?

What makes you happy?

What is the one thing you would tell your younger self?

If applicable, share a special message for your grandchildren.


These questions are designed for you to be yourself on camera and don’t require any rehearsal. Keep it authentic and genuine. This is your story.
My loved one doesn’t speak English? Can we still do the interview?
Yes. This is considered an add-on as we are currently working on implementing this service. On Feb 15th 2021, this service will be available.
My loved one is deaf. Can we still do the call?
We are currently working on implementing this service. On Feb 15th 2021, this service will be available.
Do you offer subtitles?
We are currently working on implementing this service. On Feb 15th 2021, this service will be available.
Do you offer closed captioning?
We are currently working on implementing this service. On Feb 15th 2021, this service will be available.
Do you offer translations services?

What is the role of the interviewer?
It’s the interviewers role to make sure you’re comfortable on your video call day. Our job is to guide you and keep the conversation focused on the chapters you’ve chosen. Our interviewers guide you on:

Clear speech

Effective messaging

Effective storytelling

Timely answers / Redoing answers for editing if necessary

Natural body language

Smiles and high energy

Overall performance

Technical requirements
How should I dress?
Dress in something that you’re comfortable in. It’s all up to you.
What’s included in my final Personal Video Time Capsule?
In your personal video time capsule package you will receive a six-eight minute highlight reel with originally composed music along with your full one hour discussion. In your full one hour discussion, the interviewer will be removed from the final product. If necessary, some questions will need to be written out for context.
How do I receive my video time capsule?
Your highlight reel and full Time Capsule will be sent to you through a downloadable link in .MOV format.
What happens if I want to make a change to the edit?
In your package, you receive 2 revisions per highlight reel and full version. If you are requesting changes, please use of the online revision form to outline your time marks and changes.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. Upon booking your technical set up call, we require a $100 CAD + HST deposit.
Is my deposit refundable?
Yes. Your $100 CAD deposit is refundable If you cancel 24 hrs prior to your scheduled Technical Set Up Call. If you cancel within the 24 hour window, we charge a $35 CAD booking fee. There is no cost to reschedule your Technical Set Up Call.
What happens if I cancel after my Technical Set Up Call but before the recording of the Personal Video Time Capsule?
If you cancel after your service after your Technical Set Up Call, your $100 CAD deposit will be forfeited.
When is the remaining deposit balance due?
The remaining balance is due on the first delivery of your Personal Video Time Capsule deliverables.
